Dapoxetine and Priligy for PE

Dapoxetine is a compound designed specifically for Premature Ejaculation. Dapoxetine is basically a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), which is shown to be effective in PE treatment. One of the major disadvantages of Dapoxetine is that it should be taken daily to achieve desired results. It has shown to be effective when taken <3 hours before having sex.

Dapoxetine is marketed under the brand name Priligy by Johnson & Johnson. In 2012, as per the agreement between ALZA Corp, Janssen Pharmaceuticals (both subsidiaries of Johnson & Johnson) and Furiex Pharmaceuticals, Furiex Pharmaceuticals obtained rights to distribute Priligy worldwide. In the same year, Furiex also entered into a license agreement with Menarini to commercialize Priligy in Europe, most of Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Menarini is an international pharmaceutical company based in Italy.

EjectDelay® is an over-the-counter (OTC) FDA compliant medicine used for the delay of premature ejaculation in men.
